YOSAKTIONARY

YOSAKIME has a number of unique terms. These terms were coined for the purpose of both highlighting the cause - sensationalizing the information and organizational efforts, if you will - and for clearly describing the conditions and needs of the Multiple Chemical Sensitive community.

The following is a legend of sorts, a YOSAKTIONARY of YOSAKIME coined/used TERMS.

FRAG
  • A very real event or incident, in which a person encounters an offending chemical or other 'modern society toxin' (MST). The reactions vary with the sensitivity of the individual, severity of the chemical, amount of the chemical present and the general health of the individual.
  • Description of an offending encounter with either a source of synthetic chemical or other 'modern toxic conditions'.
  • Acronym: Freaking Real Assault Gage

GASP
  • The daily posting publication on the YOSAKIME BLOG; as in The Daily GASP
  • Description of what an MCS sufferer does when they encounter offending toxic, noxious chemicals.
  • Acronym: God Answers Sincere Prayer; a position of positive reinforcement for MCS suffering.
  • Acronym: Grant Access to Sensitive Peoples; a movement toward 'Fragrance and Chemical Free Zones'.

MCS
  • Condition in which extended or extreme exposure to synthetic chemicals renders a personal immune system, incapable of buffering against the effects of synthetic chemicals upon the central nervous system.
  • Acronym: Multiple Chemical Sensitivity
MST
  • Elements of modern society that, upon contact (touch, ingestion, association) cause an MCS individual a wide array of injuries, pains, discomforts and immobilization.
  • Acronyms: Modern Society Toxins
  • Types of MSTs:
  • Synthetic Chemicals
    • chemicals derived from petrochemical production or genetic modification of organic products
  • emf
    • Electric and Magnetic Fields
    • radio frequencies
    • electromagnetic generated energy
    • microwaves
  • Artificial Lighting
    • light produced by fluorescent bulbs; light colors lower than 6200K; intense lighting such as halogen;
